Egy 4K-s trailerben mutatja be a karaktert a Monolith.

A San Diego Comic-Conon történt meg a bejelentés vele kapcsolatban. Shelob egy központi karakterként szolgál a történetben, és nála van az új, erőt kínáló gyűrű, amit Celebrimbor és Talion hozott létre. Emberként is látványos, de pókként veszélyesebb, ugyanis Shelob bossfightként lesz fontosabb a Shadow of War során.

A Middle-Earth: Shadow of War október 10-én jelenik meg PlayStation 4-re, Xbox One-ra és PC-re, aminek a rendszerigényét a Steamről lestük el:
