Ubisoft is inviting players to try one of its biggest titles of 2024 by launching a free three-hour trial of Star Wars Outlaws on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series consoles.
With Star Wars Celebration currently in full swing, the galaxy far, far away is buzzing with updates—new series, films, games, and projects tied to the iconic franchise. Ubisoft has jumped into the spotlight by unveiling a playable demo for Star Wars Outlaws. While fans await the full reveal of the upcoming A Pirate’s Fortune expansion on April 18, the studio is giving players a hands-on look at Kay Vess’s latest adventure starting now.
This trial version, lasting three hours, is now live for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series players. Progress made during the demo won’t carry over to other platforms, but according to the Steam description, players can dive into the following experiences:
- Explore the legendary sands of Tatooine as Kay Vess, accompanied by your loyal sidekick, Nix.
- Recruit a mercenary by tracking them through lawless desert regions using your speeder.
- Battle infamous foes including the Hutt Cartel, Tusken Raiders, and other hostile forces.
- Take on bounties in Mos Eisley, play sabacc in Kessel, and roam freely beyond city borders in the game’s expansive open world.
- Jump into the cockpit and engage in thrilling dogfights across Tatooine’s treacherous orbit.
Ubisoft Still Has Faith in Outlaws’ Long-Term Potential
While Star Wars Outlaws may not have met Ubisoft’s commercial expectations at launch, the company is not backing down. Alongside the Wild Card expansion and the soon-to-be-revealed A Pirate’s Fortune DLC, Ubisoft remains confident in the title’s future. „We believe Star Wars Outlaws will be a long-term sales success,” the publisher stated. The demo serves as both a second chance and a show of commitment to the game’s ongoing evolution.
