[SOP 2025] Tides of Tomorrow: A New Game by Road 96’s Devs Is Coming to Consoles! [VIDEO]

DigixArt’s game was initially planned only for PC, but that has changed—and now we know when it’s coming out…

From the makers of Road 96, Tides of Tomorrow challenges you to survive on the troubled ocean planet of Elynd, shaped not just by your own choices but also by those of your friends and favorite streamers. Elynd is a world struggling after the Great Flood, where deadly plastification threatens every living thing. Prepare to confront the planet’s many dangers: search for a cure, explore floating platforms, or handle threats exposed by the wider community. The deeper you dive into Elynd’s mysteries, the less alone you’ll ever be…

As you explore, you’ll meet a host of different characters—each with their own moods, motivations, and opinions about the planet’s future. Your alliances matter: every choice could create new rivals. Keep an eye on your friends’ adventures, too! Their actions can directly impact your story, forcing you to adapt to an unpredictable world. Follow friends or streamers on their own journeys, sail through dangerous waters, gather resources to increase your survival chances, and explore floating platforms spread across unique, beautiful landscapes. Unforgettable characters may help—or hinder—you along the way.

“Just like in Road 96, the narrative is at the heart of the experience. In this ruthless ocean world, you play as a Tidewalker who witnesses the echoes of other players’ actions. You must deal with the consequences of their choices—it’s up to you to cooperate… or make waves!” said director Adrien Poncet in the press release. “Tides of Tomorrow marks the first time your story changes based on the players you choose to follow. This innovative twist unlocks new possibilities for both storytelling and gameplay. Will you follow friends, streamers, or total strangers?” added DigixArt producer Kevin Bard.

The first-person adventure Tides of Tomorrow will be released on February 24 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC. Until now, no console versions had been confirmed.
