A játék megjelenése után máshogy is támadni fog a Nintendo franchise-a.

Népszerűek lettek a poliplányok – Japánban még koncertet is tartott kettejük, úgyhogy van potenciál a marketingben itt, mindenféle kétség nélkül. Ezt a Nintendo is látja, és ezért lesz egy anime-adaptáció is a Splatoon második részéből.

A japán CoroCoro magazin jelentette be, hogy a YouTube csatornáján futni fog a mangaszérián alapuló sorozat, aminek első része augusztus 12-én fog megjelenni. Esélyes, hogy rövid időn belül a rajongók feliratozni is fogják majd a videókat.

Mindeközben a világ a Switch-exkluzív Splatoon 2 megjelenésére vár: július huszonegyedikén folytatódni fog a „tintázás”!
